DC Art All Night Media Advisory 09.22.21

DC IS OPEN—VISITORS TO 16 D.C. NEIGHBORHOODS TO EXPERIENCE ART OVERNIGHT AT MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER PRESENTS ART ALL NIGHT

The District’s unique two-day arts festival is back in-person to celebrate local artists and businesses on September 24 and 25.

WASHINGTON (September 22, 2021) — Mayor Muriel Bowser Presents Art All Night, the District’s only free all-night arts festival, will return in-person for a two-day activation on Friday, September 24 and Saturday, September 25. The event will feature local artists highlighting the area’s best visual and performing arts exhibits, workshops, and performances.

DC is open! Art aficionados and fans of local artists and businesses are expected to visit 16 Main Street and Business Improvement District corridors to experience painting, photography, sculpture, crafts, fashion, music, dance, theater, silent discos, film, and poetry in a variety of unique indoor and outdoor spaces located in all 8 wards throughout the city.

To support the District’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, five vaccine stations will be set up across DC neighborhoods during the activation. Neighborhood activations will follow all city-mandated COVID-19 protocols, including masking at indoor events.

Art All Night has transitioned back in-person for this 2021 experience after being forced to pivot to a virtual platform last year. Artists, community leaders and residents of DC are excited for this event to be back in-person to support local artists and businesses.
